The designers at Audio Associates designed the majority of local San Diego TV station studios that are seen daily by San Diegans. Working with the designers, the school’s studio is a replica of a real live broadcast station so students get the feel of what it is like to make a live news report.
Audio Associates worked closely with the architect and designers to produce a spectacular system for this is one-of-a-kind project beginning in 2010. Within the library’s 9 floors lays rooms and spaces for each type of meeting, a beautiful auditorium with a projector and large screen, as well as a grand ballroom room that overlooks downtown San Diego.
In addition, Audio Associates also installed the Sony Wall, a set of 7 monitors arranged uniquely to display photos as well as act as interactive, hands-on entertainment with guests with games like crossword puzzles. The library’s Sony Wall was the first of its kind installed on the West coast, an achievement Audio Associates is exceptionally proud of.
Audio Associates took a dive into Sea World’s Turtle Exhibit, and installed an interactive system for park goers to enjoy and learn. Speakers were specially installed to ensure audibility of the fact boards, and projectors were strategically placed to view the underwater life.
Audio Associates installed many sound systems at this signature San Diego hotel property, including the ballrooms, meeting rooms and common areas of the hotel.
Audio Associates installed two different systems at the San Diego Marriott: 1) a music system in the restaurant area of the hotel to add ambient noise while guests dine in front of the exquisite San Diego bay, and 2) Speakers and projectors in the hotel’s grand ballroom which hosts hundreds of conferences and special events each year.
Petco Park in downtown San Diego was one of Audio Associates’ flagship projects. In 2001, Audio Associates worked with the ballpark designers and architects to piece together an extraordinary sound and monitor system. Engineers strategically placed speakers and TV monitors throughout the stadium to ensure attendees walking throughout the venue would not miss any part of an event.
Audio Associates has worked alongside the San Diego Airport Authority for many years on a number of projects, most recently completing the extensive Terminal 2 expansion. Audio Associates installed and expanded the paging system throughout all sections of the airport to ensure audibility of departing and arriving flights and installed large monitors for convenient flight status checks. In addition, we also installed a new line of visual paging so that as an announcement is being made over the speakers, monitors placed at eye level display the same audible announcement, from flight times and boarding planes to emergency exit safety plans.
Audio Associates installed the A/V system in 1997 when the stadium was renovated and expanded from being Jack Murphy Stadium to Qualcomm. Audio Associates not only rewired the whole stadium with newly designed speakers and TV monitors, but we also made it possible for broadcast trucks to connect video cameras with satellites to bring football games and event shows to home television sets.
